What does this fault code mean?
The driver's door control module has registered that the signal is too low on both the locking and the unlocking signal wires for too long. The cause may be a faulty lock switch, or both signal wires being shorted to ground. The lock then cannot be operated with the key from the driver's door.
Possible causes
- Faulty lock switch
- Both lock and unlock signal wires shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Try locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key and note whether the lock moves at all
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the wires between the door control module and the driver's door lock have no contact with ground (the body), for both locking and unlocking
- 3If a short is found, or the lock still cannot be operated, have a workshop repair the wiring or replace the lock switch
- 4Press the lock button in the door and check that it returns fully when released
Symptoms you may notice1
- The lock cannot be operated with the key from the driver's door
