Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The driver's door control module has registered that the central locking button has been pressed for too long. The cause may be just that, or a faulty button, and the central locking then cannot be controlled from the button. The fault is internal to the control module, so if it is permanent the module may need replacing.
Possible causes
- Central locking button held pressed for too long
- Faulty central locking button
What you can do
- 1Press the central locking button a few times and check that it returns fully when released
- 2Switch the ignition off and on again, then check that the central locking button works
- 3Clear the code with your own tool and see whether it returns; if the fault is permanent the control module will need replacing, which a workshop should do
- 4After any repair, check that the central locking button works and that the code does not come back
Symptoms you may notice1
- The central locking cannot be operated from the central locking button
