What does this fault code mean?
The driver's door control module has registered that the supply wire to the LED in the camera module of the driver's side door mirror is shorted to ground. The LED for the blind spot system (BLIS) then does not light, and a message may appear in the text display.
Possible causes
- Supply wire to the LED shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Start the engine and check whether the LED flashes three times when the BLIS system is activated
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the LED has no contact with ground (the body)
- 3With the ignition off, disconnect the LED's connector and check that the LED itself is intact, and that the connector is free from corrosion and loose contacts
- 4If the fault does not come back, no further action is needed. If the short remains, have a workshop repair the wire
