Possible causes
- Child-proof lock switch stuck in one position
What you can do
- 1Check whether the child-proof lock button works when you press it and let it go
- 2If the button was held down too long, clear the code and restart the ignition; if the code does not return, that was the cause
- 3If the code comes back, have a workshop check the child-proof lock button and replace the control module if needed, since a new module must be programmed
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the child-proof lock wire has no contact with ground (the body)
Symptoms you may notice1
