What does this fault code mean?
The door module (DDM) has registered that the supply voltage is too low while the door is open, so the door warning lamp does not light as it should. A signal wire short-circuited to ground can cause the fault.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then open the door with ignition on to see if it returns
- 2Check the connectors at the warning lamp and the door module for oxidation and loose contacts
- 3Check the lamp holder for a short circuit and replace the lamp if it is damaged
- 4Check the wire to the lamp for chafing and crush damage. With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the wire has no contact with ground (body)
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the door module
Symptoms you may notice1
