What does this fault code mean?
The door module (DDM) has registered too high a supply voltage on the signal wire to the mirror lamp, although the lamp has not been requested to light. The near-side lighting then does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal wire to the mirror lamp short-circuited to voltage
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then check with ignition on whether it returns
- 2Watch whether the power door mirror lamp lights and goes out when the lighting is switched on and off
- 3Check the connectors at the power door mirror and the door module for oxidation and loose contacts
- 4Check the bulb holder and the wire for short circuits and damage. With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the wire has no contact with voltage (plus)
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the door module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Near-side lighting does not work
