What does this fault code mean?
The door module (DDM) has registered that the signal to the power door mirror lamp is too low while the lamp has been requested to light. A signal cable short-circuited to ground can cause this, and the near-side lighting then does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then check with ignition on whether the mirror lamp lights up and goes out
- 2Check the bulb holder in the power door mirror for a short circuit and replace the bulb if it is damaged
- 3Check the connectors at the power door mirror and the door module for contact resistance, oxidation and loose connections
- 4With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the signal wire has no contact with ground (body). Replace the wire if it is short-circuited
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the door module
