What does this fault code mean?
The control module registers a short to ground in the cable to the mirror heater, and the heating of the outside mirror then does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal cable to the mirror heater short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then check that the mirror heating starts when it is switched on
- 2Check the connector at the mirror for contact resistance and oxidation
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the heater cable has no contact with ground (body). Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the mirror heater and feel whether the glass warms up
- 5If no fault is found, have a workshop try a new door mirror
