What does this fault code mean?
The control module registers an open circuit in the signal cable to the mirror indicator, or voltage on that cable, when the indicator is activated. The indicator in the mirror then does not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal cable
- Signal cable short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then with ignition on check that the mirror indicator lights when the indicator is used
- 2Check the connector to the mirror for oxidation, loose contacts and damage
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the cable is not broken and has no contact with plus. Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the mirror indicator and check that it lights
- 5If no fault is found, have a workshop try a new door mirror
