What does this fault code mean?
The door module supplies the central lock motor in the driver's door. The fault is stored when the supply cable is short-circuited to ground and the output current becomes too high when the central locking is activated. The driver's door then does not lock or unlock, and mirror folding and power adjustment are blocked.
Possible causes
- Supply cable short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in connections
What you can do
- 1Read out the fault code, clear it, and check whether it returns when the central locking is used
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the central locking and listen for the motor in the driver's door to run
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the supply cable to the central lock motor has no contact with ground (body). Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 4Check the connectors at the central lock motor for moisture and oxidation, and clean them
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the door module and the central lock motor
