What does this fault code mean?
The rear door module on the driver's side powers the central lock. When it is activated, the module registers too high a signal from the output, caused either by a supply cable short-circuited to voltage or by a break in that cable. The door then does not lock or unlock.
Possible causes
- Supply cable short-circuited to voltage
- Break in the supply cable
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then test the central locking with the button to see if it returns
- 2With ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the supply cable is not broken and has no contact with plus. Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 3Check the wiring harness in the rear door for chafing and crush damage
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the control module in the rear door
