What does this fault code mean?
The fault is registered when the right puddle lamp is switched on and the output signal is too low. The cause is a power supply cable short-circuited to ground, and the lamp in the right door mirror then stops working.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable to the right puddle lamp short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then switch the right puddle lamp on to see if the code returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. Fuse positions are usually shown on the cover of the fuse box
- 3With ignition off, use a multimeter to confirm the supply cable to the right puddle lamp has no contact with ground (body). Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 4Check the lamp holder in the right mirror for a short circuit and replace the bulb if it is damaged
- 5If no fault is found, have a workshop try a new right door mirror
