What does this fault code mean?
The fault is stored when the output signal to the driver-side camera is too high. On cars with the blind spot system (BLIS) a camera is fitted in each external mirror. The cause can be a supply cable short-circuited to voltage or an open circuit, and the LED then does not light.
Possible causes
- Supply cable short-circuited to voltage
- Open circuit in the supply cable
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, then test drive the car to see if it returns
- 2With ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the supply cable to the camera has no contact with plus and is not broken. Replace the cable if it is damaged
- 3Check the connectors in the driver's side mirror for oxidation and loose contacts
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the blind spot system on the driver's side and check whether the camera responds
- 5If no fault is found, have a workshop check the camera in the driver's side mirror
