What does this fault code mean?
The driver door control module (DDM) receives information from the control panel in the driver door over the LIN bus. The fault is stored when the module receives no signals from the panel although it expects them. This happens if the communication wire is broken, or if the panel is disconnected or damaged.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the communication wire (LIN bus) to the driver door control panel
- Driver door control panel is disconnected
- Damaged control panel
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test with the engine running to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check that the connector to the driver door control panel is secure and free from moisture and corrosion
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the communication wire between the driver door module and the control panel has no break
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the communication and the control panel
Symptoms you may notice1
- The driver door control panel does not work, for example the window lifts cannot be operated from it
