What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies power to the motor that folds the electric driver-side mirror in and out. The fault is stored when the module detects that the supply wire is in contact with ground (the body) instead of reaching the motor, so the mirror cannot be controlled.
Possible causes
- The supply wire to the mirror motor is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the mirrors are intact
- 2Try folding the mirror in and out with the switch and listen for the motor
- 3Inspect the cable from the door to the mirror base for chafing and pinching, especially where the cable moves
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the mirror motor has no contact with ground
- 5Check that the connectors in the door and at the mirror base are secure and free from moisture and corrosion
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror motor
Symptoms you may notice1
- The electric driver-side mirror cannot be folded in or out
