What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies power to the motor of the electric driver-side mirror. The fault is stored when the signal on the wire is too high, meaning the wire has contact with supply voltage, or when the wire is broken. In either case the mirror cannot be folded in.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the signal wire
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the mirrors are intact
- 2Try folding the mirror in and out and see whether the fault returns
- 3Inspect the cable from the door to the mirror base for chafing and pinching
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no contact with battery positive and no break
- 5Check that the connectors in the door and at the mirror base are secure and free from moisture and corrosion
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror motor
Symptoms you may notice1
- The electric driver-side mirror cannot be folded in or out
