Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The window lifts have Hall sensors that measure how fast each lift moves, which is how the window position is determined. The driver or passenger door module supplies the sensor in the front window lift. The fault is stored when the sensor signal is too low and an incorrect value has lasted too long for the test. This is often caused by the supply wire having contact with ground. The automatic window operation is then blocked.
Possible causes
- The supply wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture or oxidation in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Test the window up and down with the switch and check that it moves smoothly all the way
- 3Inspect the connector and the cable to the window lift in the door for moisture, oxidation and chafing
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the sensor has no contact with ground
- 5Read and clear the code, road test and check whether it returns
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the window lift and the control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- The window lift does not work, works only partly or works incorrectly
What the fault can affect1
- Automatic window operation is blocked
