What does this fault code mean?
The door module supplies both the central locking motors and the motor for the locked-locking function through a common output. The fault is stored when the current on this output becomes too high, which is caused by the supply wire having contact with ground. Because the output is shared with the mirrors, the folding and electric adjustment of the mirrors are also blocked.
Possible causes
- The supply wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture or oxidation in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Test the central locking with the button in the door and see whether any lock motor moves
- 3Inspect the wiring to the door for chafing and pinching, especially where the cable moves when the door opens and closes
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no contact with ground
- 5Check that the connectors in the door are secure and free from moisture and oxidation
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the door module and the wiring
