Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies the approach lighting located in the outer mirror. The fault is stored when the current on the output is too high, which means the supply wire has contact with ground. The lighting then does not light up, and the module switches off its supply to it.
Possible causes
- The supply wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the approach lighting and check whether the lamp in the outer mirror lights up
- 3Inspect the cable from the door to the mirror for chafing and pinching
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the lamp has no contact with ground
- 5Check the connectors in the door and at the mirror base for moisture and oxidation
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the module and the mirror
Symptoms you may notice1
- The approach lighting in the mirror does not work
