What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies the approach lighting in the outer mirror. The fault is stored when the current on the output is too low, which means the wire is broken, has contact with battery positive, or has a poor connection at the connectors.
Possible causes
- The supply wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the supply wire
- Contact resistance, oxidation or a loose connection in the connectors
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the approach lighting and check whether the lamp in the outer mirror lights up
- 3Check the connectors in the door and at the mirror base for looseness and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no break and no contact with battery positive
- 5Inspect the cable from the door to the mirror for chafing and pinching
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the module and the mirror
Symptoms you may notice1
