What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies the turn indicator in the driver-side outer mirror. The fault is stored when the current on the output is too high, because the supply wire has contact with ground, or because of moisture and oxidation in the connections. The supply to the indicator in the mirror is then switched off.
Possible causes
- The supply wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check whether the indicator in the mirror flashes when you use the turn signal
- 3Inspect the cable from the door to the mirror for chafing and pinching
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no contact with ground
- 5Check the connectors in the door and at the mirror base for moisture and oxidation
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror
Symptoms you may notice1
- The side marker or position light in the mirror does not work
What the fault can affect1
