What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules control the front door window lift through a relay. The fault is stored when the relay for raising the window is active although it should be off. The causes are a relay stuck in the active position, or that the window has been operated with a diagnostic tool at a workshop.
Possible causes
- The relay is stuck in the active position
- The window lift has been operated with a diagnostic tool
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, and check whether it returns
- 2If the window was recently operated with a diagnostic tool at a workshop, the code may be a trace of that and can then be cleared
- 3Check that the fuses are intact
- 4Test the window up and down with the switch and check whether it moves without anyone operating it
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the control module software and reload it if it is damaged
- 6If the control module is damaged, have a workshop replace it and confirm that the fault is cleared
Symptoms you may notice1
- The window lift does not work, works only partly or works incorrectly
What the fault can affect1
- The control module activates the relay for lowering the window
