Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies the heating element that defrosts the outer mirror. The fault is stored when the current on the output is too low, which means the wire is broken, has contact with battery positive, or has a poor connection in the connectors.
Possible causes
- The signal wire to the defroster in the outer mirror is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the signal wire
- Contact resistance, oxidation or a loose connection in the connectors
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the mirror defrosting and see whether the glass heats up
- 3Inspect the cable from the door to the mirror for chafing and pinching
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire is not broken and has no contact with battery positive
- 5Check the connectors for looseness and oxidation
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror
Symptoms you may notice1
- Mirror defrosting does not work
