What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules check the signal from the interior central locking button for locking. The fault is stored when the button has been held pressed for a long time, or when the signal wire has been short-circuited to ground for a long time. The module then ignores the signal from the button until it is no longer pressed.
Possible causes
- The button is stuck in the pressed position
- The signal wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in the connections
- The local locking switch is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check that the locking button in the door panel can be pressed in and released, and that it is not stuck
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Test locking with the remote or the key and see whether the fault only concerns the button in the door
- 4Check the connector to the button for moisture and oxidation
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with ground
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the button and the door module
