What does this fault code mean?
The rear door module checks the signal from the local locking button in the rear door and informs the module of the corresponding front door about its status. The fault is stored when the button has been held pressed for a long time, or when the signal wire has been short-circuited to ground for a long time. The signal from the button is then ignored until it is no longer pressed.

- The signal wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in the connections
- The local locking switch is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check that the button in the rear door can be pressed in and released, and that it is not stuck in the pressed position
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Test locking with the button in the front door and see whether the fault follows the rear door button
- 4Check the connector to the button in the rear door for moisture and oxidation
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from the button has no contact with ground
