What does this fault code mean?
The ground lighting under the driver door is connected directly to the driver door module. The fault is stored when the current on the output is too low, which means the wire has contact with battery positive or is broken. The ground lighting then does not light when the door is opened.
Possible causes
- The ground lighting in the driver door is broken
- Short circuit to supply voltage on the wire
- Damaged wires or contacts
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Open the driver door and check whether the ground lighting comes on
- 3Inspect the lamp and the wire between the lamp and the door module for visible damage
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire has no contact with battery positive and is not broken
- 5Check that the connectors at the lamp and the door module are secure
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wiring and the driver door module
