What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module waits for messages from the cameras on the left and right sides over LIN bus 2. The fault is stored when no signal is received, which can be caused by a break in the communication wire, a short circuit to ground or supply voltage, or a poor connection in the connectors.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the communication wire
- The communication wire is short-circuited to ground
- The communication wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit in the connections
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the wire between the driver door module and the cameras for visible damage
- 4Check that the connectors at the driver door and the cameras are secure and free from moisture and oxidation
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the communication wire has no break and no contact with ground or supply voltage
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the communication with the cameras
Symptoms you may notice1
- An LED does not light up
