What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module supplies the motor that adjusts the driver-side mirror to the right and to the left. The fault is stored when the current on the output is too high, which is caused by the supply wire having contact with ground, or by moisture and oxidation in the connections. The mirror adjustment is then interrupted.
Possible causes
- The supply wire is short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the mirrors are intact
- 2Test the mirror adjustment to the right and to the left and see which direction works
- 3Inspect the cable to the mirror for chafing and pinching, especially where it moves during adjustment
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the mirror motor has no contact with ground
- 5Check the connectors in the door and at the mirror base for moisture and oxidation
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror motor
