What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module checks the signal from the position sensor, a potentiometer, which registers the up and down position of the mirror. The fault is stored when the signal is too high, which is caused by the signal wire having contact with supply voltage or being broken.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the signal wire
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Move the mirror up and down and check that the movement is smooth all the way
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, compare the mirror position in live data while moving it and check that the value follows the movement
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with battery positive and is not broken
- 5Inspect the cable to the mirror for chafing and pinching
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the control module and the mirror
Symptoms you may notice1
- Operation of the outer mirror does not work
