What does this fault code mean?
The driver and passenger door modules control the lock motors in the front doors and receive an indication of their status, locked or unlocked. The fault is stored when the module sees both lock and unlock commands active together, which points to an internal fault. A door then does not lock or unlock as it should.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Test locking and unlocking with the button and with the key, and see whether either front door does not respond
- 3Check that the door locks move freely by hand and that nothing is stiff
- 4Read and clear the code, road test and see whether it returns
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check and, if needed, replace the control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- A door does not lock or unlock
