What does this fault code mean?
The Hall sensors in the rear door window lifts measure how fast each lift moves, which is used to know where the window is. The fault is stored when the signal from the output is too high, which points to a damaged Hall sensor, the supply wire having contact with supply voltage, or a break in the supply wire. The automatic functions for the rear window then cannot be used.
Possible causes
- Damaged Hall sensor
- The supply wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the supply wire
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Test the rear door window up and down with the switch and check that it moves smoothly
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the Hall sensor has no contact with battery positive and is not broken
- 4Inspect the cable and connector to the rear window lift for chafing and pinching
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the Hall sensor and the control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic closing of the window does not work
