Over LIN, the driver door module talks to the switch panel located in the door. The fault is stored when the module registers that communication with the control panel is not possible. The cause is a damaged control panel or a break in the signal wire.
Possible causes
- Damaged control panel
- Open circuit in the signal wire
What you can do
- 1Check that the buttons on the control panel in the driver door work
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connector to the control panel and the wire for breaks, chafing and oxidation
- 4If the fault was stored once and does not return, it may have been temporary and no further action is needed
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wiring and replace the control panel if no other fault is found
