Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module communicates over LIN with the camera on the driver side of the car, which is part of the blind spot information system (BLIS). The fault is stored when the module registers an internal fault in the communication with the camera. The cause is then the camera in the driver door.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the driver-side camera
What you can do
- 1Start the engine and check that the LEDs flash when the blind spot system is activated
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Inspect the wires between the driver door and the camera for visible damage
- 4If the code does not return after a road test, no action is needed, as it was most likely caused by a temporary fault
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment replace the camera on the left or right side, whichever is relevant
Symptoms you may notice2
- An LED does not light up
- A message is shown in the text display
