5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module communicates over LIN with the camera on the driver side, which is part of the blind spot information system (BLIS). The fault is stored when the signal wire for communication with the camera is short-circuited to supply voltage or ground.
Possible causes
- The LIN bus is short-circuited to supply voltage or ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Start the engine and see whether the LEDs in the camera system react when the blind spot system is used
- 3Inspect the wire between the driver door and the camera for chafing, pinching and visible damage
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the LIN wire has no contact with ground or battery positive
- 5If the code does not return after the road test, no action is needed, as it most likely came from a temporary fault
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the camera and the wiring
Symptoms you may notice2
- An LED does not light up
- A message is shown in the text display
