What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module communicates via LIN with the rear door on the driver side. The fault is stored when no signal is received from the rear door module, which can be caused by a break in the communication wire, a short circuit to ground or supply voltage, or a poor connection in the connections. While the fault is active, no further codes for the rear door are stored.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the communication wire
- The communication wire is short-circuited to ground
- The communication wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Contact resistance, oxidation or a loose connection in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Test the window lift and the central locking in the driver-side rear door and see which functions are missing
- 3Inspect the wire between the driver door and the rear door for chafing, pinching and visible damage
- 4Check the connectors in the driver door and the rear door for moisture and oxidation
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the communication wire has no break and no contact with ground or supply voltage
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the communication and the rear door module
Symptoms you may notice4
