What does this fault code mean?
The driver or passenger door module continuously receives information about the outside temperature from the engine control module (ECM) and checks the quality of the signal. The fault is stored when the ECM reports a lower signal quality than the door module accepts. The door module then uses the temperature from its own built-in sensor instead.
Possible causes
- The cause lies in the engine control module (ECM), which sends the signal
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the engine control module (ECM) with diagnostic equipment, as fault finding is done there
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Do not clear the code until the fault in the engine control module has been repaired, as the code will then return
- 4Check whether the engine control module has further fault codes that may give a clue
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop repair the fault in the engine control module and then clear the code
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The door module uses the temperature from its own built-in sensor instead
