What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module (DDM) receives a message from the passenger door module (PDM) that the central locking button on the passenger side has been pressed for too long. This means the signal is stuck high, so the button is most likely jammed in the pressed position. The code can be erased once the button works normally again.
Possible causes
- The passenger side central locking button is stuck in the pressed position
What you can do
- 1Read and erase the code, then check whether it comes back
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Press the passenger side central locking button a few times and check that it springs back fully
- 4Check that the central locking works from the other switches and from the remote key
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the state of the passenger side central locking button in live data and check that it changes between pressed and released
- 6If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the button and its wiring
Symptoms you may notice2
- Central locking with the button in the door panel does not work
- Locking and unlocking with the central locking does not work
