What does this fault code mean?
The driver or passenger door module (DDM/PDM) has received a message from the rear door module that the window lift button in one of the rear doors has been pressed for too long. The signal is stuck high, so a button in the left or right rear door is most likely jammed. The fault concerns the rear door switch panels.
Possible causes
- Window lift button in the left or right rear door is stuck in the pressed position
- Damaged switch panel in the left or right rear door
What you can do
- 1Read and erase the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Test the window lift in each rear door with its own switch and check that the glass moves smoothly in both directions
- 4Press each rear window switch a few times and check that it springs back; look for cracks or moisture in the switch panel
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, check the rear window switch status in live data and see whether the value changes when the switch is pressed and released
- 6If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the rear door switch panels and their wiring
