What does this fault code mean?
The driver door module (DDM) continuously monitors the buttons in the switch panel in the driver door over LIN. The code is stored when one of the buttons has been active for too long, which means the signal is stuck high. The cause is either a button that has jammed in the pressed position or a damaged switch panel.
Possible causes
- A function button is jammed in the pressed position
- Damaged switch panel
What you can do
- 1Read and erase the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Press each button on the driver door switch panel in turn and check that it springs back fully, so you can find one that is stuck
- 4Look over the switch panel for damage, cracks and signs of moisture
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the button status in live data and check that each button changes value when you press it in and release it
- 6If the code comes back, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the switch panel and the LIN communication wire
