What does this fault code mean?
The four-wheel drive control module (DEM) checks its calibration software, and the code is stored when it finds a fault there. The fault lies in the control module, which is usually defective, and the four-wheel drive is blocked while the fault remains. The remedy is to replace the control module.
Possible causes
- Faulty four-wheel drive control module (DEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and erase the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3If the code returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment replace the four-wheel drive control module
