What does this fault code mean?
The oil pressure pump for the four-wheel drive runs for longer than it should, and the control module (DEM) registers this as a fault while the engine is running. The cause is a check valve in the oil filter that has stuck in the open position. The four-wheel drive does not work while the fault is present, but the fault can be remedied by changing the oil filter.
Possible causes
- Oil filter check valve stuck in the open position
What you can do
- 1Read and erase the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3If the code returns, have a workshop change the oil filter and the oil in the clutch (AOC) and check that the fault has cleared
Symptoms you may notice1
- Four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive do not work
