What does this fault code mean?
The four-wheel drive control module (DEM) compares the current from the oil pressure pump with its preset limits. This is an internal electrical fault in the control module itself, so the module is the part to check. The code is set when the fault persists for a period, and the check runs with the ignition on while the pump is switched off.
Possible causes
- Damaged four-wheel drive control module (DEM)
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code, note it and clear it. Test drive the vehicle to see if the fault returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the four-wheel drive control module and calibrate it after the change
Symptoms you may notice2
- Four-wheel drive does not work
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
What the fault can affect1
- Four-wheel drive is disengaged
