What does this fault code mean?
The driver information module (DIM) or a control module has found a damaged memory element, and the code is therefore set. The fault lies in the memory of the instrument. It may affect the instrument, but it does not have to.
Possible causes
- Damaged memory element inside the instrument panel module (DIM)
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code, note it and clear it. Switch the ignition off and on, and see if the fault returns
- 2Check that the battery is in good condition and that the fuses are intact, since voltage irregularities can cause memory faults in control modules
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, check that the instrument responds to diagnostic commands
- 4If you have noticed that the instrument is not working properly, a workshop replaces the instrument panel
Symptoms you may notice2
- The combined instrument panel does not function
- The diagnostic system for the instrument panel does not function
