Possible causes

What you can do
- 1Read off the fault codes in the engine control module and note them for the workshop
- 2Has the engine control module software been changed, for example by an optimisation? Tell the workshop, so it knows before anything is overwritten
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, check that the engine control module responds to diagnostic commands
- 4If the software has been damaged unintentionally, have a workshop reload it. Clear the code only after this has been done
