What does this fault code mean?
The instrument cluster (DIM) has an internal fault, and the module reports that its own components are not working. The fault lies in the instrument cluster itself and not in the communication with other modules. It affects among other things the trip computer and some gauges.
Possible causes
- The instrument cluster (DIM) is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the instrument cluster are intact and that it has proper supply with the ignition on
- 2Read the fault codes, clear them and road test the car to see whether the code returns
- 3If the instrument cluster software has been updated, have a workshop check that the correct version is installed
- 4If the code returns after these checks, the instrument cluster needs replacing, and a workshop must programme the new unit for the car

- A text or warning symbol appears in the instrument cluster and some functions do not work as they should
- The trip computer does not work
- One or more gauges show faults or do not work
