What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) has sent a fault message to the engine control module saying that the analog accelerator pedal signal is too high. The cause therefore lies in the CEM, and that fault must be fixed there before the code can be cleared. The engine control module can instead use the accelerator pedal sensor PWM signal if it is working.
Possible causes
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM), which must be traced first
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first, since this code is passed on from there
- 2Trace and fix the CEM faults, with help from a workshop if needed
- 3Then clear the code in the engine control module and road test to see whether it returns
- 4Check that the connector at the accelerator pedal sensor is fully engaged and free from oxidation
- 5If the fault returns anyway, have a workshop check the communication between the CEM and the engine control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Text message and warning symbol in the display
What the fault can affect1
- If the PWM signal from the accelerator pedal sensor works, it is used instead
