This fault code has different meanings depending on model, model year or engine. Select the meaning that applies to your car.
Applies to the following models:
3 modelsC30 (2007–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module carries out overall checks of the system's components. The code is set when it has found a fault in the A/C pressure sensor system but cannot decide exactly what the fault is. The code has no fault-tracing of its own and is dealt with through the other engine control module codes for the A/C system.
Possible causes
- A fault in the A/C system that the control module cannot link to a single component
What you can do
- 1Read out all fault codes in the engine control module and deal with the A/C system codes first
- 2Erase this code once the other codes have been dealt with, and road-test with the A/C on to see whether it returns
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, check in live data that the A/C pressure sensor value changes when A/C is switched on and off
- 4If the code comes back, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment look further into the A/C system
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
