What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module checks the signal from its built-in atmospheric pressure sensor and has found it too high for a certain period. The fault lies in the module itself, so it cannot give a correct air pressure reading. The code is checked while the engine is running.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 2If the fault does not return after clearing, it was most likely a temporary disturbance
- 3If the fault is permanent, the engine control module needs replacing, which a workshop should carry out
Symptoms you may notice1
- The malfunction indicator lamp comes on
What the fault can affect1
- The engine control module assumes a standard air pressure, corresponding to sea level
