What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module has found an implausible reading from its built-in air pressure sensor. The code is only tested once the ignition has been on for a while, so it may appear only after the car has been started.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment, switch it on again and see whether the code comes back
- 2Clear the code and road test
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop check the engine control module, as it may need replacing
Symptoms you may notice1
- The malfunction indicator lamp comes on
What the fault can affect1
- The engine control module assumes a standard air pressure, corresponding to sea level
