What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module receives no signal from the internal atmospheric pressure sensor, and the module has registered an internal fault. The code is only tested once the ignition has been on for a while. Because the sensor sits inside the module, the module is what needs checking if the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment, switch it on again and see whether the code comes back
- 2Clear the code and road test
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the engine control module
Symptoms you may notice1
- The malfunction indicator lamp comes on
What the fault can affect1
- The engine control module assumes a standard air pressure, corresponding to sea level
